11:45 A.M. ET – John Korir Dominates Men’s Elite Race
John Korir maintained the lead throughout the final stretch, finishing strong with a time of 2:04:45 to win the 2025 Boston Marathon. Alphonce Simbu and Cybrian Kotut followed 19 seconds behind, with Conner Mantz leading the Americans in 4th place.
11:27 A.M. ET – Women’s Lead Pack Holds Tight at 1:37:40
Four-deep at the front Beriso, Obiri, Lokedi, and Yehualaw are shoulder-to-shoulder with identical predicted finishes of 2:17:22. No separation yet as the pace intensifies heading into the final miles.
11:13 A.M. ET – Men’s Elite Breaks Wide Open
John Korir is making a move – he’s now leading the men’s race at 1:35:00, with a hard-charging pack just seconds behind. The lead group has splintered, and Clayton Young is holding strong 8 seconds back, him and Conner Mantz still leading the American charge.
11:03 A.M. ET – Sisay Lemma Drops Out
Defending champ Sisay Lemma is out. After a strong start, the Ethiopian star has officially dropped from the race a huge shake-up in the men’s elite field.
10:56 A.M. ET – Mantz & Yehualaw Lead in Tight Races
Conner Mantz (USA) has surged into the lead, clocking 1:13:37 with a projected finish of 2:04:15. He’s being tightly shadowed by Patrick Tiernan (AUS), Evans Chebet (KEN), and a stacked international pack all within seconds. The race is blisteringly fast and still wide open.
Yalemzerf Yehualaw (ETH) now leads the women’s race at 1:05:04, with Hellen Obiri (KEN), Sharon Lokedi (KEN), and Amane Beriso (ETH) stride for stride. All are projected to finish around 2:17:17, setting up a thrilling showdown on the back half of the course.
10:51 A.M. ET – Susannah Scaroni Wins The Wheelchair Division
Crossing the finish in a blazing 1:35:20. With a commanding solo effort from early on, she sealed the win in dominant fashion for the women’s division.
10:38 A.M. ET – The Lead Men Have Slowed
The men’s leaders have slowed by quite a bit. They are now over 30 seconds behind Course Record pace. 16 men in the lead pack as they split 58:36 through 20k.
10:30 A.M. ET – Marcul Hug Wins The Wheelchair Division
Marcel Hug wins the 2025 Boston Marathon in 1:21:34. He wins by an extremely large margin.
10:07 A.M. ET – Elite Men’s Race: Tight Pack Hold Steady Through 10k
Ahead of course record pace. The men’s elite field remains tightly packed as they pass the 10K mark. Defending champion Sisay Lemma (ETH), Evans Chebet (KEN), John Korir (KEN), and American hopefuls Conner Mantz and Clayton Young are all running in a controlled, tactical formation. No major surges yet, as the group appears content to share the pacing duties through the early stages of the course.

8:00 AM ET – Des Linden Makes Announcement Before Race Start
Des Linden, the 2018 winner of the Boston Marathon, has announced that the 2025 Boston Marathon will be her final Boston Marathon as a professional runner.
Linden prolifically won in 2018 and ended a 33-year drought for American women.
