The 89th edition of the Masters Tournament begins this week with the world’s best golfers meeting at Augusta National Golf Club.

American Scottie Scheffler and Irishman Rory McIlroy are considered the early favorites for the tournament.

Scheffler finished 11-under par to win the tournament in 2024 and earn his second green jacket. Ludvig Åberg was the runner-up.

McIlroy is still looking for his first Masters victory. He finished as the runner-up in 2022.
