In the 7th round of the 2025 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos select Utah tight end Caleb Lohner with their 241st overall pick.
#Broncos finish their draft class with Utah TE Caleb Lohner.
He was a basketball player for the Utes and, according the school website, caught four passes for four TDs in 2024.

Lohner has a basketball background and is converting to tight end. He did play one year for Utah and caught four passes last season, all of which went for touchdowns. He is a big and athletic project for Sean Payton, who has some untapped potential.
There isn’t much out there about Lohner, but he is a 6’7, 256-pound tight end prospect who is transitioning from basketball to football, and started playing football this past year. He has 32 1⁄2 inch arms, an 80-inch wingspan, ran a 4.69 40-yard dash time, a 1.7 10-yard split, 37-inch vertical, 10’6” broad jump, and had 19 reps on the bench press.
This is a developmental project that will likely spend his rookie year on the practice squad. I’ll trust the process here and hope the Broncos found themselves a hidden gem.
