Karen Read trial is back in court. Here’s how to watch it live from home

With public interest on the rise again, Karen Read’s second trial is now underway. Opening statements in the trial will be on Tuesday, April 22.

The public has been transfixed by this case, particularly after Read’s first trial ended with a hung jury last summer.

She is again facing charges of manslaughter while under the influence, fleeing the scene of a deadly accident and second-degree murder in relation to her former boyfriend and Boston Police Department Officer John O’Keefe. Advocates of Read’s innocence have protested the trial, and allege the Read was set up by police as part of a cover up.

Former lead investigator Michael Proctor’s has been terminated from the state police since the last trial.
