On April 6, one women’s basketball team will take home the 2025 national title. The 68 teams with a shot were announced on Sunday’s selection show.
UCLA earned the No. 1 overall seed for the first time in program history, benefiting from its regular-season win over South Carolina and Big Ten Tournament title win over USC. The Gamecocks are also a one-seed, but they enter the NCAA Tournament with something to prove.
Texas grabbed the third No. 1 seed, while the Trojans edged out UConn for the final one-seed. The two teams could be set for a rematch of their December showdown, which USC won 72-70.
The Ivy League saw three teams — Harvard, Princeton and Columbia — each earn a bid. Oregon and Washington both survived the bubble, while Virginia Tech and UNLV are on the outside looking in.
The women’s March Madness Tournament is set to begin on Wednesday, March 19 with the First Four games. And the First Round will commence on Friday, March 21.
