NORMAL (25News Now) – Illinois State University is urging the public to stay away University and Locust streets in Normal, and from the Bone Student Center after shots were fired on campus Sunday night.

The university issued an emergency alert at 7:55 p.m. after a report of shots fired at the student center.

“If you are near this area, take precautions. See www.ilstu.edu for more info,” the alert said.
