It’s a busy Tuesday at tournaments in Barcelona, Munich, Stuttgart and Rouen, with Carlos Alcaraz, Jasmine Paolini and Casper Ruud among the big names in action.
23:22 CET – It’s all over for the day in Stuttgart and it has been a night to remember for Emma Navarro, who has dismantled Beatriz Haddad Maia in straight sets. The US seventh seed won the contest 6-3, 6-0 to make it into the next round.

21:45 CET – Fifth seed in Stuttgart, Jasmine Paolini, has made light work of her German wildcard opponent, Eva Lys, winning the encounter with ease 6-2, 6-1 in just over an hour.
21:10 CET – Our final game of the day has come to an end in a sparse Rouen arena, where home hero Varvara Gracheva is through after beating Sonay Kartal in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.
20:20 CET – Back to Stuttgart, as, in an all-German encounter, Jule Niemeier made it into the next round with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Laura Siegemund.
20:10 CET – Play has come to an end in Barcelona for the day with Karen Khachanov seeing off Cameron Norrie 6-7(3), 6-4, 6-3.
19:53 CET – Mariano Navove is through to the last 16 in Munich after coming from behind to stun third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(3).
Over in Barcelona, the in-form Alejandro Davidovich Fokina has proved too strong for veteran Stan Wawrinka, with the home favourite winning 6-1, 6-4 in just 71 minutes.
19:32 CET – Zizou Bergs has come out on top in a three-set thriller in Munich, with the Belgian recovering from a set down to outlast Alexander Bublik 6-7(5), 6-4, 7-5.
Meanwhile, in Rouen, Maria Sakkari‘s struggles continue after another desperately disappointing defeat, this time to Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in three sets, 6-0, 3-6, 6-3.
18:49 CET – Camilla Rosatello is the latest woman through in Rouen after a relatively routine 6-2, 6-3 victory over Alycia Parks in just 79 minutes.
18:09 CET – Top seed Carlos Alcaraz has progressed in Barcelona, with the Spaniard surviving a slight wobble and having to save a set point against American qualifier Ethan Quinn, before coming through to win 6-2, 7-6(6).
17:28 CET – Ninth seed France Tiafoe is out in Barcelona! The American may have won the first set, but he was ultimately beaten by Spaniard Juame Munar in three sets 2-6, 7-5, 6-1.
Meanwhile, over in Munich, Ugo Humbert has fought hard to see off a stubborn Nicolas Jarry. The Frenchman made it into the last 16 with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory.
17:06 CET – Plenty of lucky losers getting success on the clay this afternoon, and another one is Czech teenager Linda Fruhvirtova, who has beaten Anna Blinkova 6-7(5), 6-4, 7-5 in a closely-fought contest.
16:36 CET – Back to Rouen, as Jaqueline Cristian has progressed in the tournament with the Romanian defeating French wildcard Diane Parry 6-4, 6-3.
Elsewhere, it was a tougher afternoon for Alexander Shevchenko, who needed three sets to see off Flavio Cobolli. The Kazakh number two won their encounter 6-7(2), 6-3, 6-4 to advance into the next round.
16:26 CET – It’s been a hectic day of action across Europe so far, and the results keep on coming. In Stuttgart, Ekaterina Alexandrova is through to the next round, after dispatching Luidmila Samsonova in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.
Meanwhile, Denis Shapavalov has been forced to retire from his match against Munich wildcard Diego Dedura-Palomero after finding himself set and a break down in their contest.
16:08 CET – Another shock on the WTA circuit today, as Croatian qualifier Jana Fett – ranked 153 in the world – has taken down compatriot Donna Vekic, who is 133 places higher in the rankings, in straight sets 7-6(2), 6-4 to progress.
15:20 CET – Serbian qualifier Laslo Djere is through in a comeback win 6-7(2), 6-1, 6-2 over Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech.
15:00 CET – Francisco Cerundolo has eased into the next round in Munich thanks to a breezy 6-0, 6-2 victory against Jan-Lennard Struff.
14:40 CET – A tough start to the claycourt swing for Harriet Dart, as she has been beaten 6-0, 6-4 by French wildcard Lois Boisson – it’s Dart’s third-straight loss.
14:20 CET – Casper Ruud is the next person through in Barcelona, sealing a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Elahi Daniel Galan in 91 minutes.
And another one of the seeded players through in Spain is Alex De Minaur. The Australian has seen off Tomas Martin Etcheverry in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.
Over in Munich, meanwhile, Fabian Marozsan has made light work of young German wildcard Justin Engel, winning their encounter 6-4, 6-1 to advance.
13:57 CET – Rouen’s third seed, Olga Danilovic, has won an all-Serbian encounter 5-7, 6-0, 6-3 to send compatriot Aleksandra Krunic home.
13:43 CET – We’ve had a premature end to our first game of the day in Stuttgart after Dayana Yastremska was forced to retire in her match against Jelena Ostapenko whilst 6-3, 3-0 down.
Meanwhile, Yannick Hanfmann has provided an upset in Munich, beating the rising star and sixth seed Jakub Mensik 7-6(4), 4-6, 6-3.
Botic van de Zandschulp is also through. He has made the most of his lucky loser status by dispatching Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
13:07 CET – Over to Munich, where Luciano Darderi has progressed thanks to a hard-fought 7-6(3), 7-6(3) win over Australia’s Christopher O’Connell.
Meanwhile, Jessika Ponchet has taken the opportunity of her lucky loser berth to beat qualifier Margaux Rouvroy 6-2, 6-4 and advance in Rouen.
12:47 CET – Seventh seed Arthur Fils is safely through to the next round in Barcelona, with the mercurial Frenchman battling through a tough opening set to oust Pablo Carreno-Busta 7-6(6), 6-3.
Clay-court specialist Sebastian Baez has also progressed at the ATP 500 event after a relatively routine 6-1, 7-5 victory over Damir Dzumhur.
12:21 CET – Our first result of the day is in, and it comes from Barcelona, where Stefanos Tsitsipas has eased past the USA’s Reilly Opelka in straight sets. The third seed, coming off the back of a run to the quarter-finals last week in Monte Carlo, has continued to look better on the court with a 6-2, 6-2 win to kick off his campaign in the Catalan city.
10:08 CET – We’re less than an hour away from play getting underway at the ATP events in Barcelona and Munich, as Stefanos Tsitsipas, Arthur Fils and Jakub Mensik all take to the court this morning.
Later on, Carlos Alcaraz begins his campaign with a first-round clash against Ethan Quinn, while Casper Ruud, Jasmine Paolini and Emma Navarro are also in action.
