ORLANDO, Fla. – After weeks of dry weather, we’re finally seeing a pattern shift, with some much-needed rain on the way as a weak front nears Central Florida.
Friday
There’s about a 20% chance you’ll see a passing shower or even a quick rumble of thunder. Some of that activity might try to move inland but coverage remains limited.
Rain Chances – Friday
Most areas will stay dry, with highs in the mid-80s along the coast and the upper 80s inland. Expect a steady east-southeast breeze in the afternoon, with gusts around 20 mph.
A weakening cold front will slowly work its way closer to the area by the weekend, helping deliver additional moisture.
Rain Trend
Saturday
Saturday brings a 20–30% chance of afternoon showers or storms, mostly driven by the sea breeze.
Don’t expect a washout, but any storms that do form could bring brief heavy rain and gusty winds.
Highs will reach the upper 80s to near 90 inland, with the coastal breeze keeping temps in the low 80s at the beaches.

Sunday
Sunday looks a lot more active.
Extra moisture paired with stronger sea breezes will increase the chance of scattered storms, especially along and east of I-95.
Some storms could be strong, with frequent lightning, strong wind gusts and downpours.
Rainfall totals could range from a quarter-inch to as much as 1–2 inches in some spots.
Things should wind down Sunday evening as storms move offshore.
Rain Model Comparison
Monday
The rain chances don’t stop just yet.
Another round of showers and storms is expected Monday as a lingering front and active sea breezes fuel afternoon development.
Like Sunday, some storms could be on the stronger side.
Next Week
By Tuesday and into midweek, things start to dry out again. Forecast models are split on how long the drier stretch will last, so we’ll keep an eye on that.
Temp Trend
Temperatures stay warm through the week, generally in the mid- to upper 80s.
