LA Dodgers Officially Unveil Gold-Accented Caps and Jerseys to Celebrate 2024 World Series Win

The Los Angeles officially launched their “Gold Collection” over the weekend, confirming the leak of both the jersey and the caps from last week.

While we’re only concerned here at Uni Watch over the gear which will be worn on field, unsurprisingly the Dodgers have also created an entire line of gold-accented merch (hoodies, tees, etc.) designed to celebrate the team’s 2024 World Series victory over the New York Yankees. Much of it is already sold out, so clearly MLB/Nike/Fanatics have tapped into a (pardon the pun) gold mine of retail sales related to special World Series merch.

Here’s what the Dodgers will wear on the field when they receive their WS rings and celebrate the championship are the special 2025 caps and jerseys.

CAP

JERSEY

There may be no more “in demand” player in MLB than Shohei Ohtani right now, with worldwide fans and an international following (particularly in his native Japan), and his retail gear alone will probably outsell the rest of his teammates’. So it’s no surprise Ohtani’s jersey is being offered with both his English NOB as well as in Kanji characters (大谷 翔平). I’d absolutely love it if he took the field wearing the latter jersey, but I’m pretty sure it will be his standard English NOB.

The Dodgers will most likely wear their gold accented jerseys and caps this Friday, at home against the Tigers. It’s entirely possible they will be worn more than once. If you look at their promotional schedule, the team is giving away “gold player jerseys” on June 18th, so it’s likely the special gear will be worn on that date. And July on 21st, fans will receive “World Series Player Rings,” so they may opt to sport the special cap/jersey then as well.

Here are a couple more looks at the jersey, with a closeup of the script “Dodgers” as well as a look at the screened-on jersey patch. You’ll note the patch on the jersey sleeve does not match that on the side of the cap.
