SAN FRANCISCO — Darrion Williams hit the game-tying 3 in regulation and the game-winning bucket in overtime to lift the Texas Tech basketball team to an 85-83 win over Arkansas in the Sweet 16 of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
The Red Raiders (28-8) were down 16 points in the second half but closed on a 16-3 run to force overtime. Williams backed his way down inside the game-winning bucket and finished with 20 points and nine rebounds.
It’s the second-largest comeback win in Sweet 16 history.
