It was a slow day on Thursday as the Guardians are traveling all the way from San Diego to…Los Angeles to play the Angels in a 3 game series. I was hoping to be able to at least watch some baseball but the Columbus Clippers game was postponed due to weather. That has been rescheduled for a double header starting Friday, April 4th, at 5:05 pm eastern time. It should be a good one as Doug Nikhazy will be on the mound.

Today feels like Christmas Day for me as it is Opening Day for all Minor League teams below the AAA level. I am so excited to watch our top prospects play. It’s the perfect time to have the Guardians on a west coast trip because all of the minor league games start between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm eastern, meaning they will likely all be over just in time for the Guardians game to start. Anyone else love 7 straight hours of baseball or is that just me?
The Guardians will have Gavin Williams on the mound tonight against the Angels in what will be their home opener at 9:38 pm eastern time. The Guardians will be facing off against Jose Soriano who threw 7 scoreless innings in his season debut against the White Sox. It should be a really fun game!
