Mostly Sunny & Pleasant

  • Highs in the upper 50s today
  • Wind under 5 mph
  • Showers likely late Thursday

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – We have some nice weather in the forecast for today. High pressure will dominate conditions around here, bringing plenty of sunshine and much lighter wind than we have experienced over the past couple days.

High temperatures today are expected to reach the upper 50s to near 60°.

Some clouds will begin to fill in tonight out ahead of our next wave of low pressure. A warm front associated with that area of low pressure is expected to approach the state tomorrow. This front will bring some scattered clouds to the region and a chance of a shower late in the day.

What’s Coming Up…

Rain will be likely Thursday night with chances continuing into Friday morning. With the warm front moving through though, temperatures will be much warmer. Highs are expected to be in the middle and upper 60s Thursday. Highs Friday are expected around 70 degrees.

High pressure will again take over as we head into the weekend. Lots of sunshine is anticipated on Saturday, but a little bit cooler conditions. Highs will return to the middle 50s Saturday.

Looking Ahead…

Rain chances will be on the increase for Easter Sunday. The morning is still looking dry, but scattered showers are expected to develop during the afternoon.

The weather will remain somewhat unsettled into the first part of next week with rain chances again on Monday and Tuesday.
