The long-awaited miniature Slurp Rush Reload map, along with a bunch of vaulted weapons, will be available once the game comes back online.
Server Down Schedule
Fortnite will be shutting down its servers on Tuesday, April 15, “for a short downtime” from 11AM BST.
The gaming giant said matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes prior.
Although there has been no word on how long the software update will take, previous maintenance usually lasts around two hours. All devices will be affected, including PC, mobile and consoles.
During maintenance, all players will be disconnected from their online connection.
New Upgrades
The new update is expected to see a new Chapter 2-inspired map and changes to its Reload mode.
In the most notable upgrade, vehicles are now expected to be added to the fold. As the update is Chapter 2-inspired, it’s likely gamers will see the return of either boats or helicopters.

The new map, Slurp Rush, will feature eight iconic Chapter 2 locations condensed into a much smaller fast-paced experience.
Unlike classic Battle Royale mode, players can respawn in reload as long as one teammate remains alive on the island.
Fortnite Success
Since its debut in 2017, Fortnite has emerged as one of the most financially successful and culturally impactful video games of all time.
Developed by Epic Games, the free-to-play game has continued to generate massive revenue while kickstarting a wave of Battle Royale copies across the industry.
In its first two years, Fortnite reportedly made over $9 billion in revenue.
The game has also branched into eSports with immense success, recording a viewing peak of 809,000 at its global championship in 2024.
