Everyone has that store that’s there go-to, their safe space, the place that always has what they need and, preferably, at a decent price. For many Dollar General is that store. While not everything costs a dollar, as the name might suggest, there are deals to be had and coupons to be used. And even better, they have tons of Easter items to make your holiday a spectacular one. With that last bit in mind, is Dollar General open on Easter?
More and more retailers are choosing to close stores on Easter Sunday, and with good reason. Retail employees often find themselves working crazy hours and most holidays. Giving an entire company a full day to rest and enjoy time with friends and loved ones is a wonderful way to thank them for their hard work. But, particularly for shoppers who are procrastinators, the idea that their go-to store might be closed on Easter puts a knot in their stomach. What if they forgot something? Or an Easter basket is looking a little light? It’s a holiday, anything is possible.
Is Dollar General Open on Easter Sunday?
Breathe easy, Dollar General shoppers. Yes, Dollar General is open on Easter. In fact, most locations will be operating their typical store hours for a Sunday. For the Dollar General near me, that means 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.. But every store location is different, so make sure to check yours before heading out.

If you’re really in a bind and Dollar General doesn’t have what you need on Easter Sunday, there are some other retailers that are open as well. Most grocery stores will have reduced hours on the holiday, but CVS and Walgreens will be open as well (likely with limited holiday hours). Walmart will remain open, too.
But do note that a lot of retailers are closed, so if you find yourself in need of accessories for your Easter dinner ‘fit, you could be out of luck. Stores like Target, T.J.Maxx and Marshalls are all closed that day.
