The Cubs and Diamondbacks started Sunday’s game late and found themselves waiting out a second delay before the end of the first inning.

Umpires took the players off the field with one out in the bottom of the first as the Wrigley Field video boards warned fans of lightning in the area.

The game, the finale of the three-game weekend series, started at 1 :59 p.m. after a 39-minute weather delay.

The Cubs won the first two games of the series, taking Friday’s game 13-11 and earning a 6-2 victory Saturday afternoon.
