The Women’s March takes place not just in Seattle but all around the globe on International Women’s Day. The intent is to have an inclusive and peaceful gathering to bring awareness to women’s issues. On the Women’s March website it says: “This International Women’s Day, let’s build and strengthen the relationships we’ll need to face what’s ahead—together.”
When is the march?
The Seattle Women’s March takes place on International Women’s Day this Saturday, March 8. It starts at noon and will last for about two hours.
Where is it taking place in Seattle?
The march will start in Capitol Hill at Broadway & East Pine Street.
Who can participate in the march?
All are welcome to join in marching! If you want to come prepared, you can host a sign-making party for your friends and community before Saturday’s march. If you’re unable to join the march, you can contribute with a donation.
