The Last Of Us (HBO, Sunday, 9 p.m.)

HBO’s adaptation of the popular video game returns for a second season, introducing new friends and enemies for Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramey) and expanding the show’s apocalyptic world. The cast this time around includes Gabriel Luna, Rutina Wesley, Kaitlyn Dever, Catherine O’Hara, Isabela Merced, and Young Mazino. Check out The A.V. Government Cheese (Apple TV+, Wednesday, 12:01 a.m.)

David Oyelowo leads this stylish and clever 1969-set family dramedy as a ex-convict/inventor who struggling to readjust to his home life. Simone Missick, Bokeem Woodbine, Sunita Mani, Jahi Winston, and Evan Alexander Ellison co-star. The A.V. Club‘s review of the show publishes Monday.

#1 Happy Family USA (Prime Video, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)

Ramy Youssef and South Park‘s Pam Brady team up for #1 Happy Family USA. Loosely inspired by Youssef’s childhood, the animated show charts a 12-year-old Rumi’s life in a post-9/11 political landscape. The voice cast features Alia Shawkat, Mandy Moore, Kieran Culkin, Salma Hindy, Chris Redd, Azhar Usman, and Akaash Singh. Look for The A.V. Club‘s review of the series on Wednesday.

Towards Zero (BritBox, Wednesday, 3:01 a.m.)

In this three-part Agatha Christie adaptation, Inspector Leach (Matthew Rhys) is called to a mansion in a coastal British town to suss out who killed its owner (played by Anjelica Huston). Check out The A.V. Club‘s review of the miniseries.

Sherlock & Daughter (The CW, Wednesday, 9 p.m.)

In yet another spin on Sherlock Holmes, The CW’s new take sees the expert detective (played by David Thewlis) joining forces with a young woman (portrayed by Blu Hunt) who might just be his flesh and blood. Dougray Scott and Antonio Aakeel round out the cast. The A.V. Club‘s review publishes Monday.

The Stolen Girl (Freeform, Wednesday, 10 p.m.)

Adapted from an Alex Dahl novel, this series chronicles a search throughout Europe to find a kidnapped young daughter. Meanwhile, the missing girl’s mother (played by Holliday Grainger) worries about family secrets getting exposed.

Ransom Canyon (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)

Netflix goes all Yellowstone with Ransom Canyon, in which three ranching families battle each other and some outside forces over land. The ensemble includes Josh Duhamel, Minka Kelly, James Brolin, Lizzy Greene, Brett Cullin, and Kate Burton. Look for The A.V. Club‘s review of the show on Thursday.
