ST. LOUIS — A tornado watch has been issued for a majority of the St. Louis metro area as a strong and fast-moving line of storms heads into the metro area.
The system, moving at upwards of 60 mph is expected to bring strong wind gusts of up to 90 mph and the St. Louis metro area is under a moderate level for severe weather, the second-highest level that the National Weather Service gives.
The timing for the St. Louis area includes storms entering the western portion of the viewing area around 6pm and entering the metro area between 8 and 10 pm.
