The White Lotus finale is almost upon us. After seven episodes of increasingly wild shenanigans in Thailand, it all comes down to this. Of course, fans of the show could not be more anxious to know what happens to the guests of the White Lotus this season: will the “blonde blob” make it out in one piece? Will the Ratliff clan… ever speak to each other again? And, perhaps most importantly, will Chelsea and her unlikely soulmate, Rick, ride off into the proverbial sunset? We know that at least one of these guests is probably going to end up in a body bag—the question is, who will get their version of a happy ending? And who… won’t?
While the cast has been extremely tight-lipped about any finale spoilers, Aimee Lou Wood did just tease one detail about Chelsea’s fate that, quite frankly, makes me very, very nervous about what is to come.

“I think it’s going to be controversial,” she said to Glamour of her character’s fate in the final episode of the season. “Whilst we were filming, Mike was like, ‘Oh my God, oh my God, have I made the right choices? Have I taken all the characters in the right direction, or is everyone going to hate me?’ I think it’s going to really divide people.”

And other cast members have also been echoing Wood’s sentiments about the dramatic finale that is heading our way. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the cast was asked to describe the season’s ending in one word—and it’s not looking good. “I think people are going to hate Mike White a little bit,” said Charlotte Le Bon, aka Chloe. “It is shocking,” added Jon Gries, who plays Greg-Gary. “Absolutely mouth agape, shocking.” Lisa, who plays Mook, said, “You’re not ready for it.” Wood then chimed in with yet another little tease: “I think this particular death is very different to the other deaths.” Leslie Bibb said simply, “Get fucking ready.” Parker Posey was less helpful, confessing, “I forgot who died.”

Sounds… bad. But also really, really good. We’ll just have to keep mulling over those fan theories until Sunday night.
