Andrew Mukuba ALSO decimated an opposing quarterback last year

There seems to be a bit of a theme developing for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2025 NFL Draft. In the first round, the Birds picked Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell who knocked Ole Miss (and newly drafted New York Giants) QB Jaxson Dart’s helmet clean off and then with the last pick in the second round, Howie Roseman selected Texas safety Andrew Mukuba.

You may remember him from the 2024 SEC Championship Game where he delivered this freight train like hit in overtime to Georgia’s QB Gunner Stockton. You can reacquaint yourself with the highlight below.

Stockton took off on a quarterback draw and was met at the first down marker by Mukuba who unleashed the fury and popped Stockton’s helmet off. While the Bulldogs would get the last laugh and score on the following play to win the SEC Title, Mukuba didn’t go down quietly. The Eagles are restocking their defense with a bunch of dudes who can lay the lumber and, quite frankly, I love the strategy.
