Auburn Vintage Market brings the vintage thrifting experience to the Haley Concourse this Friday

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) – Auburn Vintage Market is set to host their first market on the Haley Concourse this Friday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The inaugural event will feature approximately 30 vendors showcasing a wide variety of hand-picked vintage clothing, accessories and items. Attendees can peruse different vintage selections while enjoying music and warm, sunny weather.

“Whether you’re looking for retro pieces, classic finds, or one-of-a-kind treasures, the Auburn Vintage Market has it all,” said London Plourde, organizer of the event.

Thrifting, or shopping for secondhand items, has become very popular among younger generations, especially Gen Z, in order to implement more sustainable practices and to find more affordable clothing options. This makes a college campus the perfect place for an event like this one.

“We focused on securing a great location on campus that would create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for the community around us. Another key step was carefully selecting vendors that aligned with the market’s theme and ensuring strong community outreach to generate excitement and engagement. Lastly, our mission is to create an atmosphere that encourages sustainability and fashion,” said Plourde.
