Today’s series finale and rubber match between the Atlanta Braves and the Miami Marlins has been postponed. The weather forecast for today was always looking rough and the forecast got even rougher once the day actually came about. As such, with no window in sight that would allow the teams to get this game underway, today’s game has been postponed.
Today’s game against the Miami Marlins has been postponed due to inclement weather. This game has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 9th at 1:15 PM ET as part of a split doubleheader. Gates will open at 11:30 AM ET for the 1:15 PM ET game.
Your ticket from the April 6th…

The tarp went onto the field not too long ago and the Braves themselves didn’t even bother to open the gates up to the fans to enter the stadium today. That’s how rough the forecast was looking and with most of the Atlanta metro area currently under a tornado watch until 7:00 p.m. ET, this result doesn’t come as much of a surprise.
The two teams will make this game up as part of a doubleheader on August 9. Hopefully by then, the Braves will have long sorted out their inconsistencies at the plate and should hopefully be in a groove by then. For now, the Braves get to focus on facing the Phillies starting on Tuesday after a scheduled off day on Monday.
