BREAKING: Michigan freshman enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Michigan freshman guard Justin Pippen has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on its opening spring entry period, Travis Branham of 247Sports reported on Monday morning.

Pippen has already left the team and will not travel with them to Atlanta as well, Branham reported.

The Chatsworth (CA) native is the son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen and was heralded as an excellent late add to the 2024 recruiting class by Dusty May after his hiring. Pippen saw ample time on the floor throughout the season before a concussion landed him on the bench in the Big Ten Tournament. He was unable to play in either of the Wolverines’ first two games of the NCAA Tournament.

The Wolverines are also expected to be without forward Sam Walters, who continues to battle a back injury.

Pippen was ranked 71st overall in the 2024 recruiting class by 247Sports.
