Brownsburg, Indiana: Multiple People Likely Trapped As Warehouse Collapses In Tornado

A large warehouse has collapsed in Brownsburg, Indiana amid an ongoing tornado outbreak, with reports of people trapped beneath the rubble, as per reports from AlertPage. According to a post on X, the Sur La Table warehouse on Northfield in Brownsburg has reportedly collapsed.

According to reports, several people remain unaccounted for after the warehouse collapsed.

Major damage has been caused to the warehouse, as seen in multiple visuals. As per a post on X, significant damage has been reported in some other parts of Brownsburg as well.

A user on X stated, a tornado struck near their home in Brownsburg, causing “lots of destruction to NHRA racing shops, damage to the Indy Colts training complex and close to the Indy 500 track”. They added, “I haven’t been out to look at my house.”

Severe storms and tornadoes tore through the South and Midwest on Wednesday, leaving homes damaged, and even power knocked out in several states. These states include Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

In Arkansas, a tornado hit areas near Lake City and Monette, about 50 miles from Memphis, causing some of the worst damage, with NWS calling it “catastrophic.”

Over 15 million people across the central U.S. are currently under tornado watches, while more than 1.4 million are under flash flood warnings.
