CM Punk has commented on his WrestleMania 41 main event spot, sharing his honest thoughts on headlining the two-night event.
As was confirmed during the contract signing segment on the March 28 SmackDown episode, CM Punk vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins will close one of the nights of WrestleMania 41.
It was later confirmed that this match will headline the first night of action on April 19, ahead of the second night of WrestleMania 41 taking place on April 20.
Speaking with Sebastian Hackl for WWE Deutschland, Punk noted that he believes WrestleMania being a two night event gives more stars the opportunity to headline the Show of Shows.
Commenting on his main event, Punk said:
“I’m excited. WrestleMania is two nights now so I think it’s more opportunity for people to experience the rare air of a main event at WrestleMania.
“Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are two guys that I helped kind of get here to the main roster many, many moons ago so it’s exciting for me to see how long they’ve held it down and how far they’ve come from where they started and it’s gonna be special to show them that, you know, kind of like the daddy’s back thing.
“CM Punk’s back so you’re still here, I’m still here (holding hand higher up).”
