Dana White conceded that despite his belief in Donald Trump’s toughness, the president wouldn’t stand a chance against Jon Jones in a bout, following a pointed question from Lara Trump.
Lara, who is married to Trump’s son Eric, had Dana White on her show where they chatted about White’s long-standing friendship with the former president and his admiration for him.
White has been a vocal supporter of Trump, endorsing him in the elections of 2016, 2020, and 2024, and has maintained a close relationship with him throughout his presidency and over the last twenty years.
Even though White has often described Trump as ‘the toughest man on the planet’, he admitted that Trump would be outmatched if he ever faced off with the UFC heavyweight champion in a fight.
Lara posed the question: “We know you’re a huge fan of Jon Jones, but if he walks into a room with Donald Trump… who walks out?” White chuckled before responding: “I have said this a million times, Donald Trump is the most resilient human being I have ever met in my life… but yeah, that one ends badly for him!”
The query came up as clips of White’s praise for Jones frequently make rounds online, where he has claimed that Jones would always emerge victorious in any fight scenario.
He recently remarked, “For anyone to call Islam (Makhachev) the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world when Jon Jones is still fighting is nuts and shouldn’t be ranking in the pound-for-pound, or doing any of the ——- rankings ever if that’s what you really think.”

Over the past months, White has been a staunch Trump supporter, particularly following two assassination attempts during the summer. Commenting on those events, White had made it clear, “Everybody wants to act like a tough guy, well when the —- goes down, you find out who tough guys are and who tough guys are not. This guy is the legitimate, ultimate American badass of all time.
“This is the former president and a candidate. Imagine if somebody took a shot at Biden or Obama or Clinton. It’s like, this is our president. If it happened to anybody, any of our presidents, every American on earth should be horrified by this and disgusted and upset and angry.”
On another occasion, appearing on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast several weeks later, Trump returned the compliment for White by saying, “I think Dana White is one of a kind. He’s been generous to me, he made a great statement about me the other day. I think the expression ‘everyone’s replaceable’… I’m not sure anyone could do the job he does. He’s unbelievable.”
