CBS

Bold and Beautiful‘s Thursday episode ended with a huge cliffhanger when Liam (Scott Clifton) collapsed after a heated argument with his father, Bill. Did he survive Friday’s episode? Read on to find out!

A Life On The Line

At Forrester, Steffy vented to Ridge about the way Bill treated Liam, and confirmed to Ridge that she still cared about her ex. “He’s always going to be an important person in my life,” she said of Kelly’s father.

At home with Kelly, Finn texted Steffy to remind her that Liam was coming to pick up the young girl. Finn served a snack to Kelly, who bubbled, “I can’t wait to see my dad.” Kelly was excited to go to the climbing gym with both of her parents. “They love you so much,” Finn told Kelly.

Opposite this, a saddened Brooke flashed back to her blow-up with Hope, who had accused her of choosing the Forresters over her. Meanwhile, Hope sat down with Deacon at Il Giardino, her father assuring her, “I’ve got your back, always.” Deacon invited Hope to move in with him and voiced his sympathy for her in light of how she had been treated by her mom and the Forresters. Hope checked her phone and saw a text from Brooke. She ignored it. Deacon groused to Hope about how Carter elected to remain at Forrester Creations. Hope sighed that Carter had always wanted to be accepted by the fashion family. She admitted that she felt like she could no longer trust anyone, herself included. Hope then showed Brooke’s text to her dad, in which her mom asked her to come home. “I don’t think she understands that home doesn’t feel like it used to,” said Hope.

At FC, Steffy noted to Ridge that Liam was “stuck in a toxic place” with Bill. She resolved to go confront Bill, standing up for Liam as he had stood up for her in the past.

At Bill’s, Liam regained consciousness. Weakened, he struggled shakily to his feet and felt the back of his head — it was dripping with blood!

Seeing Red: A rattled Liam looks at his bloody hand.

Dazed, Liam stumbled to the door and walked outside, then promptly collapsed to the ground. An arriving Steffy discovered him there and was horrified. “Oh, my God!” she gasped. She frantically called 911: “My ex-husband, he’s on the ground! There’s a lot of blood!” She begged the paramedics to hurry as she hovered over Liam.

Down For The Count: Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) rushed to action when she found Liam unconscious.

Brooke dropped by Ridge’s office. She voiced her gratitude that she and Carter were still working at the company, and said both she and Carter loved Ridge and always would. Brooke tentatively broached the subject of Hope, asking if there was a chance he could welcome her back to Forrester. Ridge reminded Brooke that Hope had tried to steal his life’s work. “Can you have some compassion for my daughter? Any mercy at all?” Brooke wondered. Brooke opined that what Steffy was doing to Hope wasn’t right. Ridge defended Steffy’s actions. “Hope doesn’t think she did anything wrong,” Ridge pointed out, adding, “What’s done is done.” Brooke sighed that she hated what had happened, “especially between the two of us.” She told Ridge she missed him and asked, “Don’t you miss me?”

Deacon told Hope that he hated to see her hurting so much. She thanked him for the support he had shown her. “I feel like I have lost everything,” she lamented. Deacon expressed that he believed Hope deserved to be shown grace. Hope said she’d been thinking a lot about Liam and that it felt like her life “had gone a bit off the rails” since she ended their marriage. “We really did share some beautiful times together,” Hope noted, complimenting Liam’s strengths as a father to Beth and Kelly. Hope said that Liam had been the one constant in her life. “He truly is an amazing man.”

Liam arrived at the hospital on a stretcher, flanked by paramadics. A still-panicked Steffy wasn’t far behind. As Liam was wheeled away for treatment, Steffy wailed, “I can’t lose him!”

Steffy paced worriedly as Dr. Grace Buckingham worked to save a still-unresponsive Liam’s life. The doctor explained that she believed that Liam had suffered an intracranial hemorrhage. “It only takes three to four minutes for brain cells to die without oxygen,” Grace warned. “This is a life-threatening injury.” Steffy tried to will Liam to wake up: “Liam, I’m right here.” She told him she would fight with him.

Limited Time Only: Grace (Cassandra Creech, r.) worked to save Liam as Steffy looked on.

Suddenly, Liam took a turn for the worse, his monitors beeping, and the color drained from Steffy’s face. “He’s flatlining!” barked Grace. “I need you to move away!” As Grace sprang to action, Steffy cried, “Liam!”
