It was mission accomplished for the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night. They entered Game 2 needing to get a win after the Golden State Warriors scored a 95-85 victory in Game 1 on Sunday.
The Warriors knew full well that losing was not an option in Game 2, and they stepped it up in a major way. It was a statement victory for the Rockets as they blew out Golden State en route to a 109-94 victory at Toyota Center.
The Warriors, however, did not go down without a fight. Draymond Green, in particular, made sure to make his mark on the game with his trademark ferociousness and no-nonsense attitude.

So much so that the former Defensive Player of the Year ended up getting into it with Rockets star Fred VanVleet, who had some choice words for the Warriors veteran.
VanVleet and Green came together during a dead-ball situation in the fourth quarter, and the two had to be separated as things got heated.
It is unclear what was said between the two, but there’s no denying that it wasn’t exactly a very pleasant exchange between Green and VanVleet.
At the end of the day, however, the biggest takeaway here is that it’s the Rockets who came home with the W. They have done well to tie this series up before it heads to the Bay Area for Games 3 and 4.
You can be sure, though, that Green and Co. will be ready to welcome the Rockets on their home floor for those two games.
