World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall viciously defeated Mariusz Pudzianowski within just seconds of his MMA debut in Poland tonight.
British Strongman Hall outweighed his rival by 67lb when they tipped the scales yesterday, but was expected to struggle with the massive experience of his rival. However, he showed his strength and explosiveness with a quick victory in Poland at KSW 105.
Hall and Pudzianowski had been on a collision course for years, and finally met tonight in a 600lb clash. Now, the Brit seems to want to move on to bigger challenges as he continues his transition into the MMA cage.
Eddie Hall needed just 28 seconds to get rid of the veteran KSW heavyweight and five-time World’s Strongest Man winner Mariusz Pudzianowski in Poland tonight. The 2017 World’s Strongest Man landed a vicious stoppage after landing big early on and hurting his rival.
While the technique from massive super-heavyweight Hall left a lot to be desired, it was an impressive show of his ability to power through in bursts. He set his rival off balance early and caused him to stumble, seemingly inflicting critical damage with the first shot he landed.
Hall famously scored higher than Alex Pereira and Francis Ngannou on the UFC Performance Institute’s punching power machine. And Pudzianowski felt that power early, struggling to recover and overcome the massive size difference.
He shot in for a takedown and was tossed aside with ease by Hall, who proceeded to finish his rival on the ground. The Pole complained rightly of shots to the back of the head, but it was a more than fair stoppage by the referee after less than 30 seconds.
Hall’s only previous cage outing was a 2v1 ‘Freak Fight’ with influencer brothers the Neffati twins, who are both featherweights. They collectively weighed less than him, and he knocked both brothers out in one go.
But with decades of experience and dozens of fights, Pudzianowski was viewed as a much stiffer test in his full cage debut.
Hall opted to stay big and weighed in a whopping 151.3 kg, or 334 lb making him the biggest opponent that Pudzianowski has faced to date. Meanwhile the Polish star has come in at essentially the minimum weight for super-heavyweight at 267lb.

During his strongman days, Pudzianowski used to tip the scales as heavy as 320lb in order to achieve his massive weight lifting goals. However, when he switched to MMA he drastically cut weight, similarly to how Hall has done it.
