Eric Murphy and Jasmin Page Lawrence have tied the knot!
During his first appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Thursday, May 29, Eddie Murphy revealed that his son quietly married Martin Lawrence’s daughter in an intimate church ceremony.
The Shrek star, 64, shared that Eric, 35, and Jasmin, 29, got married around “two weeks ago” in a small church ceremony instead of having a grand wedding.
“They went off, everybody was making the big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them,” Eddie said, joking that Lawrence, 60, now doesn’t have to pay for a “big wedding.” “We’re in-laws,” he added.

Eddie said that the pair “didn’t have a wedding” but might have a larger celebration later.
“They went off and they got married at the church,” the actor said. “They just had the two of them and the preacher. They had a quiet little thing. So I think we’ll have a big party or something.”
Jennifer Hudson asked Eddie if he’ll “sing” at his son’s future wedding, to which he laughed and quickly responded, “No, I ain’t singing … Martin will sing at the wedding. Yeah, that’d be funny.” He later joked he’d “maybe” be willing to sing a duet.

On Nov. 27, Eric popped the question to Jasmin after over three years of dating, and the pair announced the happy news through a sweet video shared on Instagram — which included footage of the moment Jasmin said “yes.”
The clip, set to“Spend My Life With You” by Eric Benét, showed the couple walking into a room decorated with candles, roses and flower petals, and then Eric getting down on one knee and opening his ring box.
“It’s beautiful! Oh my gosh,” Jasmin said of the engagement ring before saying “yes” and sharing a kiss with her now-husband.
At the time, the actress also shared a sweet message about the couple’s “next chapter” together in the caption.
“We’re engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny,” she wrote. “We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter ❤️❤️. Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so beautiful!!”

It is unclear exactly when the comedy icons’ kids started dating, but they first went public with their relationship in June 2021, with Eric sharing photos of them and writing that he’s “head over heels in LOVE with” Jasmin.

Martin’s daughter later confirmed how she and Eric met — and, surprisingly, it had nothing to do with their famous fathers.
“My uncle actually introduced us — it wasn’t even our dads,” she told InTouch Weekly in January 2022. “And they’ve done two movies together. They’re friends. I don’t even know, it’s crazy, but we met through my uncle and, you know, we became really good friends.”
The couple “bonded on a lot of things,” she continued. “Obviously, we have similar backgrounds so we understood each other on a certain level, and over time it just, you know, became more.”
The pair’s fathers have, however, previously talked about the possibility of their kids getting married. In June 2022, Martin joked that he would “try to get Eddie to pay” for their children’s wedding during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Responding months later, Eddie told Canadian outlet Etalk, “That’s not how it goes.”
“My daughter just got married, and I had to pay — really had to pay,” he added. “You have to do the same, Martin.”
He also jokingly warned him not to “switch it up” or “do no Hollywood switch.” “You’re paying for the wedding,” he said. “If it goes down, Martin is paying.”
