The Mets open their 2025 season on Thursday afternoon in Houston, entering this season with serious championship aspirations after advancing to the NLCS last year only to fall two wins short of the World Series.

Before that championship pursuit begins though, Mets owner Steve Cohen is trying to secure a different kind of championship, with his New York Golf Club taking on the Atlanta Drive GC for the first TGL title.

The best-of-three match championship series in the new team-format indoor simulator golf league began Monday night with the first match at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. and continues Tuesday.

Tuesday’s match will be televised by ESPN at 7 p.m. and, if necessary, the third match will be at 9 p.m. also on ESPN.
