COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The fans of the University of South Carolina women’s basketball team — affectionately called FAMS — are sending off the team in Birmingham on their way to Sweet 16.

The sendoff starts at 2:40 p.m. EST today at the Westin Hotel in Birmingham ahead of their tip off against Maryland at 5 p.m. EST.

For FAMS in Birmingham

The Gamecock Club and USC Alumni Association said they brought “Gamecock Headquarters” to the Paramount Birmingham through the weekend. Gamecock Headquarters will open two hours before tipoff for each game, offering FAMS a free place to cheer on the team.
