Former Rams CB Tre’Davious White reunites with Bills after rough stint in LA

After just a quarter of a season in Los Angeles, veteran cornerback Tre’Davious White is heading back to where it all began. He’s reuniting with the Buffalo Bills, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. White is rejoining his former team on a one-year deal with a max value of $6.8 million.

The former 2017 first-round pick spent seven years in Western New York. He earned a pair of All-Pro selections in 2019 and 2020 and was the co-leader in interceptions during the 2019 season with six.

Last offseason, the Los Angeles Rams had hoped to solve their cornerback position by signing the Pro Bowl corner, who joined the team on a one–year, $4.25 million deal. He was brought in to provide a steady veteran presence to a young Rams secondary and to contribute as a key piece, providing leadership and experience throughout the year.

However, the partnership didn’t last very long. White was coming off multiple injury-shortened seasons before joining L.A. and was looking to prove he could still play at a high level. During a run that lasted just eight total months (March to November), White was named starting corner for Week 1 following a hamstring injury to Darious Williams but was benched by head coach Sean McVay following Week 4 and was inactive between Weeks 5 and 9. He was then later traded along with a seventh-round pick in the 2027 NFL draft to the Baltimore Ravens for a seventh-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft. White recorded 12 tackles and two pass deflections during his time in Los Angeles.

The Rams’ need for a long-term starting cornerback remains a high priority and likely the team’s top position to address with the 2025 NFL Draft just one week away.
