Arlington, TX (May 15, 2025) – The Dallas Wings open their 2025 campaign at College Park Center, hosting the Minnesota Lynx on Friday, May 16. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT, with the game airing nationally on ION and streaming on WNBA League Pass. Ron Thulin, Fran Harris and former Wings guard Tiffany Bias Patmon will be on the call.

Dallas announced its official 2025 roster today following the conclusion of preseason action. The Wings split their two preliminary matches, falling to the Las Vegas Aces on the road but running away with a 119-52 victory over the Toyota Antelopes at home on May 10.

The franchise underwent an overhaul in the offseason, with significant changes in front office, coaching staff and roster. The Wings hired WNBA veteran leader Curt Miller as Executive Vice President and General Manager, who selected Chris Koclanes to be the new Head Coach. Miller made waves in free agency, adding notable names such as DiJonai Carrington, NaLyssa Smith, Myisha Hines-Allen and Ty Harris to join Ogunbowale, Teaira McCowan and Maddy Siegrist, who are all coming off impressive 2024 seasons in Dallas.

In addition to returners and offseason pickups, the Wings made a splash at the 2025 WNBA Draft, led by No. 1 overall pick Paige Bueckers of UConn. In addition to Bueckers, the impressive draft class also featured No. 12 overall pick Aziaha James of North Carolina State and No. 27 JJ Quinerly of West Virginia.

  • Welcome home, officially … The Wings will kick off the 2025 regular season hosting the Minnesota Lynx at College Park Center. Dallas concluded its preseason slate with a dominant home victory against the Toyota Antelopes, 119-52. Seven different Wings finished in double figures, with Arike Ogunbowale headlining the group with 17 points and six assists. The last time Minnesota and Dallas met in Arlington, the Wings sent their visitors home with an 18-point loss.
  • Huskies go head-to-head … The No. 3 and No. 4 all-time leading scorers in UConn program history will compete against each other in Dallas’ Paige Bueckers and Minnesota’s Napheesa Collier. Both are members of the Huskies of Honor program, grouped alongside several program legends. Bueckers (2020-25) makes her WNBA debut fresh off an NCAA Championship run, earning the program’s 12th title. Collier (2015-19) helped lead the program to its 11th crown in 2016, the program’s last title since the nine-year drought that Bueckers broke.
  • Hopkins heritage … It’s only fitting that Buecker’s first career outing comes against her hometown team. The guard was born in Edina, Minnesota, and attended Hopkins high school in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The home opener will be played on the first official “Paige Bueckers Day” in Hopkins, as the city announced in April that it would be renamed in honor of her debut.
  • Rookies on the rise … Dallas saw its rookies excel in preseason action, with Paige Bueckers, Aziaha James and JJ Quinerly all earning productive minutes. Bueckers and Quinerly averaged 12.5 and 10 points per game, respectively, while James followed with seven. Bueckers shot 60% from deep across both games, marking a team high.
  • Return to Texas … Several of the new faces on the Wings roster have strong Texas ties. DiJonai Carrington and NaLyssa Smith both played collegiately at Baylor, while Smith is a San Antonio native. Tyasha Harris was drafted seventh overall by the Dallas Wings and spent her first three professional seasons with the team before making her return this offseason.
  • New season, new faces … Dallas announced its official 2025 roster on May 15, consisting of just three returning players from the 2024 season (McCowan, Ogunbowale, Siegrist). The Wings’ new additions span from its draft class and free agency signings to the front office, where several key leadership additions mark a new era in franchise history.
  • #WingsUp … The official hashtag for the 2025 season is #WingsUp, to celebrate the franchise’s 10th season in North Texas. The Wings have advanced to the WNBA Playoffs five of their first nine seasons in Dallas, including reaching the Semifinals in 2023.
  • Wings expand distribution for Local Broadcasts … Two months after naming TEGNA station KFAA in Dallas-Fort Worth, its exclusive local broadcast partner, the Wings are expanding their broadcast reach through additional agreements with TEGNA, Gray Media, and Corridor Television. The agreement will triple the team’s local TV footprint, bringing free, over-the-air Wings games to 6.3 million households across 12 markets during the 2025 season. The agreements position the Wings as a league leader in geographic reach and among the best in number of households with access to local broadcasts
