The Giants have been doing their due diligence this offseason in addressing their quarterback room.
And it appears that included checking in on Joe Milton before the Patriots found him a landing spot on Thursday.
New England sent Milton, along with a 2025 seventh-round pick, to the Cowboys in exchange for a fifth-round compensatory pick in this year’s draft.
According to Jordan Schulz of FOX Sports, Milton drew interest from multiple teams, including the Raiders, Steelers, Eagles and Giants.
The Giants likely showed early offseason interest before pursuing other options, most notably Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers.
Last week the Giants signed Wilson to a one-year deal worth up to $21 million. With the Steelers last year, Wilson completed 63.7% of his throws for 2,482 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Days before signing Wilson, the Giants signed quarterback Jameis Winston to a two-year, $8 million contract.
Rodgers remains a free agent. He visited the Steelers last week but is believed to be waiting for a contract offer from the Vikings.
