The Bucks are 39-30 this season, a disappointing record considering the level of talent on the squad, at least at the top of its rotation. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard remain two of the best players in the NBA, so for Milwaukee to be just nine games over .500 can’t be viewed as anything but a disappointment. Most recently, the Bucks did bounce back by decimating an injury-riddled Los Angeles Lakers team 118-89 on Thursday night, a confidence booster for Milwaukee heading into the weekend.

The Kings, meanwhile, have been an even bigger disappointment this season, as the team has already fired former head coach Mike Brown and traded away former franchise cornerstone De’Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs. Even so, Sacramento is fighting, as the Kings currently sit at 35-34, good for the No. 9 seed in the West. The Kings have a two-game cushion on the No. 11 seed Dallas Mavericks for one of those final Play-In Tournament spots.
The Kings are coming off a setback, however, having fallen to the Chicago Bulls 128-116 on Thursday night despite 34 points from Malik Monk, 22 points from Trey Lyles, and 22 points from DeMar DeRozan. As usual, it was Sacramento’s defense that let it down, much as it has all season long.
Tune in to NBA TV, Fanduel Sports Network Wisconsin or NBC Sports California at 10:00 p.m. ET on Saturday night to catch a potentially interesting matchup when the Bucks make the trip out West to California to take on the Kings.
