Leading the way for the Colonials is Alvaro Folgueiras, a 6-foot-9, 215-pound forward from Spain who’s been carrying the load all season. Averaging 14.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per game, Folgueiras earned Horizon League Player of the Year honors and will be the focal point for Robert Morris against Alabama’s high-octane attack.
Even if Robert Morris is outmatched on paper, the Tide’s blazing tempo means extra possessions, which gives Folgueiras a golden opportunity to stuff the stat sheet.
Meanwhile, Alabama is ready and momentum is on their side after making the Final Four for the first time in program history last year, and head coach Nate Oats has reloaded and raised the bar even higher. The Tide brings back key players like Mark Sears and Grant Nelson and has some young guns building out the roster.
The Crimson Tide play at the fastest tempo in the country, meaning they’re constantly pushing the pace and wearing teams down.
