In the club’s most recent outing, Tigres UANL took a narrow 2-1 finish over Pumas UNAM on Saturday night at Universitario Stadium. Fernando Gorriarán was able to find the back of the net twice to secure all three points in Monterrey against los Universitarios.

Before that, Tigres UANL met Pachuca to a scoreless draw on April 15 at Hidalgo Stadium, which followed a narrow 2-1 finish over Monterrey on April 12 at Universitario Stadium.

Sebastián Córdova and Nicolas Ibañez got on the scoresheet both after the 90th minute to secure all three points at home in dramatic fashion for Tigres.

In CONCACAF Liga de Campeones action, Tigres is coming off of a 3-2 aggregate victory over the reigning MLS champion L.A. Galaxy in the two-legged quarterfinals.

The first leg actually ended in a scoreless draw between the two clubs, but Ibañez, Uriel Antuna and Rómulo Zwarg all scored in the second leg to secure Tigres’ spot in the semifinals.
