Jack Draper vs. Matteo Berrettini: Where to Watch, Madrid Preview, Betting Odds | Tennis.com

Jack Draper became one of the biggest stories of the season when he soared to his first Masters 1000 title at the BNP Paribas Open. The win helped him clinch a Top 10 debut, but few eyes are on the 6’4” lefty heading into the clay-court season. Though it’s thought to be his least potent surface, Draper played solid enough in his first outing of the year, winning a quick opener against Marcos Giron but losing to an inspired Alejandro Davidovich Fokina at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters.

Draper was similarly effective to kick off his Madrid campaign, making quick work of Tallon Griekspoor to book a third meeting with Berrettini. Draper leads their head-to-head, 2-0, winning their most recent match earlier this season in Doha, but this is their first match on clay. Berrettini would also prefer a quicker surface, but proved lethal on clay when he outlasted top seed Alexander Zverev two weeks ago in Monte Carlo.

Berrettini rallied from a set down to beat Giron on Saturday but has been trending up this spring, making Draper a prime target for another upset. Winner: BerrettiniDavid Kane
