A few notable Detroit Lions will have new jersey numbers in 2025.
Wide receiver Jameson Williams is switching from No. 9 to No. 1, and running back Jahmyr Gibbs is changing from No. 26 to No. 0. Cornerback Terrion Arnold, who wore No. 0 as a rookie last season, is now set to don No. 6.
Williams wore No. 1 in 2021, when he starred at Alabama.
Other changes include wide receiver Tim Patrick going from No. 17 to No. 12, cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. going from No. 15 to No. 9, safety Morice Norris going from No. 39 to No. 26, defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad going from No. 69 to No. 96 and defensive lineman Brodric Martin going from No. 98 to No. 99.
The majority of Detroit’s free-agent signees selected new numbers, too, including cornerback DJ Reed (4), wide receiver Ronnie Bell (10), linebacker Grant Stuard (15), cornerback Rock Ya-Sin (23), defensive lineman Roy Lopez (51) and tight end Kenny Yeboah (88).
Free agents added this offseason who have not had their new numbers announced include quarterback Kyle Allen and defensive back Avonte Maddox.
