One of the best wide receivers of the last 20 years is calling it a career.
Seven-time Pro Bowl wideout Julio Jones announced his retirement Friday via video on the social media app “Squad.”
Jones last played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023 in the last stop of a 13-year career. He retires as the NFL’s active leader in career receiving yards.
The Atlanta Falcons traded up in the 2011 NFL draft to select Jones at No. 6 overall. He repaid that risk by becoming a perennial All-Pro candidate who led the league in receiving yards twice and receiving yards per game three times.
