Lands’ End Is Selling ‘The Perfect Date’ Jacket–And It’s on Major Markdown

All these years later, Lands’ End still agrees the “perfect date” is April 25.

Ahead of the 25th anniversary ofMiss Congeniality, the film that first made the otherwise seemingly innocuous spring day famous for being “not too hot and not too cold,” the retailer debuted what it dubbed “The Perfect Date” Jacket.

The classic double-breasted trench coat features a hip-length silhouette, adjustable cuffs, two pockets with button closures, and a back yoke for ventilation. The jacket is made with a water-repellent outer shell that’s also designed to be windproof.

Lands’ End’s Perfect Date Jacket is available in three colors this spring: Champagne with tortoiseshell-style buttons, Vintage Pine Green with black buttons, and Dark Jute Brown also with tortoiseshell-style buttons. The trio of colorways are all machine washable and offered in a variety of sizes, ranging from extra small to 3X.

The jacket is usually listed for $149.95, according to the Lands’ End website. However, the new piece appears to be included in its ongoing holiday weekend sale for approximately half off, at $74.97 (with code Easter).

While the sale offering the major markdown ends tonight, a spokesperson for the brand told Parade that customers can score 25 percent off the original price with code CONGENIALITY between Monday, April 21 and the so-called perfect date, Friday, April 25.
