Las Vegas hosts WrestleMania 41 and Golden Knights playoff opener this weekend

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The city is buzzing with excitement as it hosts two major events this weekend: WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium and the Vegas Golden Knights’ playoff opener for the Stanley Cup.

Fans and WWE legends, including Hall of Famers Nikki and Brie Garcia, formerly known as The Bellas, are in town for the festivities. The sisters are recording their podcast, “The Nikki and Brie Show,” from the Sirius XM studio at Wynn Las Vegas. Speaking about WrestleMania, they expressed their enthusiasm for the event.

“It makes me think about what football players feel when it’s the Super Bowl… this is so epic,” they said.

The first night of WrestleMania kicks off tomorrow at Allegiant Stadium, with a YouTube live stream of the Garcia sisters’ podcast starting at noon.

On Sunday, the Vegas Golden Knights will begin their campaign for a second Stanley Cup against Marc-Andre Fleury and the Minnesota Wild. The Knights finished the regular season with a record of 50-22-10, marking the third time they have won 50 games in a season. In the previous two instances, the team reached the Stanley Cup Final.

Bruce Cassidy, the Knights’ coach, shared his thoughts on the team’s accomplishments this season, saying, “They like to win.”

The schedule for the first four games of the seven-game series has been released. Game one is set for Sunday at 7 p.m. at The Fortress, followed by game two on Tuesday at T-Mobile Arena.

The team will then travel to Minnesota for games three and four.
