LITTLETON, Colo. (KDVR) — A local high school football star could hear his name called in the National Football League’s Draft.
Terrance Ferguson, who starred as a tight end at Littleton’s Heritage High School and then at the University of Oregon, is expected to be drafted during the three-day process.
“God blessed me with the opportunity,” he says.
The 6 foot, 5 inch tall Ferguson, who was highly recruited out of high school, says he was sent ball caps with the logos of all 32 teams.
Indications, say the Ferguson family, are that Terrance will be taken during the Draft’s second day.
The hometown Denver Broncos still have a need at tight end.
“I’d like to stay at home if Denver would come get me. Anybody that picks me, I’m excited to go be a part of that team.”
Either way, Ferguson says he feels blessed to have his name called by the league and fulfill a lifetime dream.
