The 2025 NFL draft kicks off Thursday night in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Miami quarterback Cam Ward is still the overwhelming favorite to be selected with the No. 1 overall pick by the Tennessee Titans. The intrigue begins with the Cleveland Browns at No. 2.
The Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns are making moves.
Three hours before the official start of the 2025 NFL draft, the Texans struck a deal with the Browns, dealing away a 2025 fifth-round pick (166) and a 2027 fifth-rounder in exchange for two 2025 sixth-round picks (179 and 216) and a seventh-rounder (255).

As the red-carpet entrance for likely first-round picks gets ready to begin, thousands of fans already are gathering in the Lambeau Field stands.
The stadium will be open during the draft, enabling spectators to watch the televised proceedings on the end-zone scoreboards.

Did you know the Green Bay Packers are owned by their fans? 538,967 of them to be exact.
The Packers have been a publicly owned, nonprofit corporation since 1923. It’s yet another example of the singularity of this year’s draft host.
Green Bay is the only major pro sports team in the U.S. to have a fan-owned model, which the team says “will remain solvent and highly competitive well into the future.”
To protect against someone taking control of the team, rules prohibit any person from owning more than 200,000 shares.
Before the NFL draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin, three draft prospects talk about what being drafted will mean to them.
This year’s NFL draft is on target to achieve a first.
Barring a last-minute trade, every team will go into the draft with its original first-round pick for the first time in the common draft era that began in 1967.
That’s in stark contrast to recent years when teams were much more willing to trade away or swap first-round picks.

Corey Behnke, who lives across the street from Lambeau Field and heads the Lombardi Neighborhood Association, says the Green Bay setting will make this year’s NFL Draft “iconic in a way that other drafts aren’t.”
The league’s smallest market spent nearly a decade seeking to host the NFL draft. That quest has finally become reality.
Packers CEO Mark Murphy has said he expects a total attendance of 250,000 over the event’s three days, a major drop from the record 775,000 fans who attended last year’s draft in Detroit. But the Lambeau Field setting, with its hall of fame, museum and small-town charm, will give attendees a chance to take in the league’s rich history in Green Bay.

The 2025 draft will be televised on ABC/ESPN and NFL Network. It will air on the radio through SiriusXM, Westwood One Sports and ESPN Radio.
The first round commences at 8 p.m. EDT. The second and third rounds begin at 7 p.m. Friday, and the fourth through seventh rounds will be at noon on Saturday.
