Tim Mayza has entered the game.

End of sixth inning: Canario strikes out on a splitter at the bottom of the zone.

• Fried’s day is done. Fernando Cruz is entering the game. Fried’s final line: 5 2/3 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K.

• Infield single for Cutch.

• Bart strikes out looking. Wasn’t happy with the call and he made have been in the right. That last curveball was off the plate.

• Cruz strikes out on a curveball out of the zone.

• Dominguez strikes out swinging on a low curveball.

• Grisham strikes out on a high fastball.

• Wentz gets Volpe leaning at first. 1-3-6.

• Volpe singles into right center.

• Reynolds down swinging. On to the sixth.

• And IKF gets picked off. As if things couldn’t get any worse. Boos raining. And “Sell the team” chants pick up again.

• Hayes flies out to center. One out.

• Infield single for IKF.

• Wentz gets Wells looking to end the top of the fifth. First time since the first inning that the Yankees have been held off the scoreboard.

• Two-out single to center for Goldschmidt. Two hits for him today. Joins Dominguez and Cabrera on that front.

• Chisholm flies out to Cruz in center. Two down.

• Judge retired 5-3 to begin the fifth.

• Triolo retired 5-3 to end the fourth.

• Rodriguez strikes out looking. Two outs.

• Canario goes down swinging in his first Pirates at-bat.

• Two-hit afternoon for Cutch. Leads off the fourth with a sharp liner to left.

• Cutch with an outstanding running catch in right to end the inning and potentially save the bases from being cleared.

RUN: Cabrera walks with the bases loaded. Yankees, 7-1.

RUN: Wentz hits Dominguez with the bases loaded and another run scores. Again, a few “Sell the team” chants. Yankees, 6-1.

• That’s it for Keller. Threw 97 pitches — 57 strikes — through 3 2/3 innings. Responsible for the two runners on. Joey Wentz enters.

• Pham was removed from today’s game due to illness. He’s currently being evaluated and treated by the club’s medical staff.

RUN: Volpe drives in a run with a single up the middle. More two-out magic for the visitors. Yankees, 5-1.

• Wells was indeed hit. He’ll take his base at first.

• Wells HBP, but the Pirates are challenging.

• Goldschmidt singles to left.

• Chisholm retired 4-3. Two down.

• Judge goes down looking for the first out of the fourth. He hasn’t had much success against Keller this afternoon. He’s 0 for 2 with a walk and two strikeouts.

• Bart strikes out to end the third.

• Cruz swipes second. That’s his seventh already in eight games.

• Two-out walk to Cruz.

• DK: Good for Reynolds. Wonderful to hear him get his due from the fans in the intros, and then now again rounding the bases. Hell of a player.

HOME RUN: Reynolds goes deep to left on a 1-0 pitch from Fried. Crowd loves it. First of the season. At least they won’t get shut out. Yankees, 4-1.

• Hayes flies out to left-center. Two down.

• IKF retired F8. One out.

• Rice retired U3 to end the top of the third. Keller’s at 79 pitches through three innings. Not good.

• DK: Where a shortstop stood for 150 years.

RUN: Cabrera beats the shift and drives in another run with an RBI single. Yankees, 4-0.

• DK: The first of what I’ll bet will be many ‘Sell the team!’ chants started up just now in the upper deck off to our right, this after the second fielding muff of the inning. Hilariously, the in-game entertainment people, apparently unaware of what was being said, kinda chimed in with the auto-percussion to help out.

RUN: After a single by Grisham, Dominguez drives in a run with an RBI single and our first “Sell the team” chant breaks out. Yankees, 3-0.

• Wells grounds out 4-3 and Volpe is hit with two outs.

• Canario is put to the test right away. Retires Goldschmidt for the first out.

Alexander Canario takes over for Pham in left field. We’ll get an update for you on the latter’s status as soon as it’s available.

• And Triolo flies out to center. See, we’ve seen that before. And it just continues. End of the second.

• Great play by Cabrera at third to retire Rodriguez. Two outs and two runners still on for Triolo.

• Pham grounds out. Runners advance.

• McCutchen adds a single of his own. Pirates getting something going here. Can’t squander it, especially against this team. But we’ve seen this before…

• First Pirates hit of the afternoon belongs to Bart. Singles to left.

• Chisholm flies out to Hayes to limit the damage. But Keller is at 56 pitches through two innings. Don’t see this being a very lengthy outing.

• Keller gets Judge swinging at a four-seamer. Two outs.

• A third walk allowed by Keller. Closing in on 50 pitches already.

RUNS – Cabrera delivers with a two-run single to left-center. Goes to second on an error by Cruz in center. Yankees, 2-0.

• Dominguez sends a double to right. Grisham holds at third. Runners in scoring position with one out for Cabrera.

• One-out walk to Grisham.

• Volpe retired 4-3. One out.

• Cruz flies out to center to end the first inning. A 1-2-3 frame for Fried. No score.

• Reynolds hits one up the middle but Chisholm is shifted perfectly. A 4-3 putout for the second out.

• Hayes sends one to the warning track in right field. Judge makes a leaping catch before making contact with the wall.

• Wells flies out to left to strand runners on second and third. Nicely done by Keller. Threw 13 of 23 pitches for strikes.

• Keller freezes Goldschmidt for the second out, but the runners advance on a double steal.

• Chisholm goes down looking. Didn’t like that one. Might have had a point. Two straight sliders down and out of the zone. Swung at the first one and looked at the second one. One out.

• Judge walks to put two on for Chisholm.

• JN: Rice starts things off with a single to center. Cutter down the heart of the plate. Brings up Judge.

• First pitch: Pirates vs. Yankees, 4:12 p.m., Mitch Keller to Ben Rice, 60 degrees, cloudy

Marc Fogel delivers the first pitch to Paul Skenes.

JUSTIN ALLER / GETTY

• DK: Overwhelming boos for Derek Shelton.

• DK: Big roar for Paul Skenes, loud boos for Colin Holderman. Hey, at least they’re still watching the games, right?

• DK: Hm. Not nearly as many New York fans here as I’d though. Almost no applause for the Yankees’ intros right now.

• DK: Greg Brown beautifully navigating the members of the Pirates’ family we’ve lost, with a special mention at the end for his good friend Mike Lange: “We will miss you, Michael Michael Motorcycle,” he’d say. Among others recognized: Bob Veale, Scott Sauerbeck.

• Cutch gets the start in right field — you have to get him in the lineup for the home opener. Hayes hits in the leadoff spot and Endy gets the start at first.
