It’s June 20th, 2025 and the NBA has still not crowned its next NBA Champion. Basketball fans have been poised for weeks, but the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers just won’t stop playing. Last night the Pacers, facing elimination in Game 6 of the best-of-seven matchup, trounced the Thunder 108-91. That forces a deciding Game 7 on Sunday to determine the winner of the Larry O’Brien trophy.
Before the series, most people assumed that a deep and talented Oklahoma City team would vanquish the lesser-known Pacers fairly easily. Indiana has put up a heck of a fight. They’ve done what they needed to do: force the decision to a single contest where anything can happen. The fewer possessions come into play, the more the underdog has a chance. The Pacers have given themselves quite a chance this weekend.
But can they do it? That’s the question. We’re asking you today. Now that the series is down to a single game, who will emerge as champion? You can make your forecast in the comment section below.
Before you do, though, here’s a link to our pre-series prediction thread. Shoutout to Blazer’s Edge readers asat, synce1970, and OfficerCosta, all of whom had the series going to seven games.
