LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A cold front will move across Nebraska Thursday bringing cooler temperatures to northern and western Nebraska. Breezy and warm temperatures will continue for southern and eastern Nebraska. This cold front will trigger scattered thunderstorms from late this afternoon through Thursday evening. Some of the storms could be severe especially in east-central Nebraska. Much cooler and breezy for Friday with a small chance of rain. Occasional showers and cool temperatures expected Easter Sunday.
An enhanced risk of severe weather for parts of eastern Nebraska from late this Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening. Large hail, damaging winds are the main threats, however, a few tornadoes will be possible as well.
Strong to severe storms will be possible Thursday afternoon and evening – mainly along and north of I-80 where an enhanced risk for severe weather is in place. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary threats, though a tornado or two can’t be ruled out.(KOLN)
