Mumbai Indians opener Rohit Sharma equalled the unwanted record of listing the most ducks in Indian Premier League history during the IPL 2025 match against Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday.
Opening the batting for Mumbai, Rohit fell for a three-ball duck in his first T20 outing since India’s T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa in Barbados last year.

Rohit’s duck was his 18th in the IPL, putting him level with Dinesh Karthik and Glenn Maxwell for the dubious record of most IPL ducks. The 37-year-old Rohit also has the most ducks among all Indian T20 batters.
Rohit, who made his T20 debut in 2007, has been dismissed for a blob 31 times in his 449 match career.
