The demonstrations were part of the 50501 Movement, symbolizing 50 states, 50 protests, and one movement.

The protests followed “Liberation Day” on April 2, when President Trump enacted sweeping tariffs affecting all U.S. trade partners and imports.

In Myrtle Beach, protestors assembled at Chapin Memorial Park, voicing their concerns with homemade signs listing specific demands.

Participants represented various sectors, including law enforcement, federal workers, clinical research and the LGBTQ+ community.
